Consortium

EQAsia comprehends a multidisciplinary consortium of experts dedicated to reaching the goals of the Fleming Fund Regional Grant.

The consortium is currently constituted by three partners: 

  • Technical University of Denmark, DTU
  • International Vaccine Institute, IVI
  • Faculty of Veterinary Science, Chulalongkorn University, CU-VET
The Danish Food Institute, Technical Institute of Denmark and the Faculty of Veterinary Science at Chulalongkorn University (CU-VET) are leading experts and trainers in the field of diagnostics and AST). The International Vaccine Institute (IVI) based in Seoul as principal trainers across Asia in laboratory practices and quality management systems (QMS), including developing costing and forecasting analysis.

 

 

DTU Food

DTU is lead grantee and responsible for the overall management and coordination of the grant.

DTU is responsible for the development and maintenance of the IT module, strain procurement and selection of EQA candidate strain panels, preparation of protocols and provision of proficiency testing schemes, and finally, the publication of the EQA trials. In collaboration with the other partners, DTU organizes workshops and training activities, and implements sustainability efforts.

CU-VET

​CU-VET is the regional EQA provider and facilitator for the animal health and food safety sector.
CU-VET coordinates the regional network of participating labs for the animal health sector and are lead on preparing EQA materials, bacterial strain validation, lyophilization, shipment and writing reports for this sector.
CU-VET contributes for the training workshops and supports capacity building for the laboratories with low EQA score.

International Vaccine Institute

IVI is the regional coordinator and lead on scoping activities within the project. IVI are lead on providing technical support on quality management systems for the network of laboratories.
IVI is furthermore responsible for stakeholder engagement activities and alignment across the Fleming Fund grant portfolio.
IVI's contribution for EQAsia sustainability plan includes the development of a costing tool for analyzing the costs of the EQAs and collecting data to create a budget forecasting to estimate the sustainability costs of the program for 10 years.
